Tulane offers a 60-hour program that enables graduate students to obtain their Master's Degree in Social Work in the city of New Orleans. This program can be completed in two years for full-time students, or in up to eight semesters for part-time students. Some of the courses in this program include Social Work History and Policy, Theory I and II, and Diversity and Social Justice. The program may require a field practicum attached to a field seminar.
Southern University at New Orleans
Otherwise known as SUNO, this New Orleans-based university offers a four-semester Master of Social Work program for full-time students and a six-semester plan with two summers for part-time students. A field practicum, which is performed in the final year for full-time students and starts in the first summer semester for part-time students, is required for graduation.
