This is a 48-credit hour program that gives students the opportunity to further specialize in Latino media and communication. When enrolled in this program, students can choose to prepare a research thesis or create an e-portfolio of their work that can be shown to industry executives. Some of the course topics that students can expect from the program include foundations of advertising and public relations, personal branding, communication writing, and communication ethics.

Loyola University Chicago - School of Communication

At Loyola University's Chicago campus, students can earn a Master of Science in Global Strategic Communication. This 36-credit hour program is designed to facilitate part-time or full-time enrollment for professionals who would like to enter a career in communications or advance their existing knowledge. A few of the course topics include strategic communication, change management, campaign development, and communication ethics. Students can gain hands-on experience by completing real-world projects and taking part in immersion study programs located in China or London.

Roosevelt University - College of Arts and Sciences

Roosevelt University's College of Arts and Sciences offers a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications program that is designed to help students understand the marketing and communication needs of different organizations. This program offers courses that can include topics such as brand marketing, marketing communications, ethics, and campaign planning. With the flexibility to plan their class schedule, students can complete the 36-credit hour program in two years whether they're enrolled part time or full time. To finish out their master's degree program, students can choose from a final project, practicum, or internship.

General Admission Requirements for Public Relations Master's Programs in Chicago, Illinois

The schools in Chicago, Illinois, that offer master's degree programs related to public relations will only consider applicants with an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Most of these schools require applicants to have a minimum GPA of 3.0, but they may have additional admission requirements for applicants with a lower GPA.
