University of Georgia

The University of Georgia in Athens has marketing as a concentration for their full-time MBA program. Within the concentration students take 12 credits of core marketing courses and 9 electives in the field. Many of the full-time MBA program's courses are project-based to allow for maximum hands-on learning through consulting projects and business projects, as well as other opportunities, like case competitions. Students can complete the full-time program in 2 years and must complete capstone courses.

Georgia Institute of Technology

Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta also offers marketing as a concentration for their full-time MBA program that requires students to complete 9 hours of marketing electives. Students can complete the program in 22 months and must complete 54 credits. Students in the program can prepare for their future career through summer internship opportunities and/or career development workshops. Other hands-on learning opportunities are available through various electives, such as an international practicum or pro bono consulting elective.

Georgia State University

Georgia State University in Atlanta provides a marketing concentration or digital marketing career pathway as customizable options for their Flex MBA program. This Flex MBA program can be completed in 2 to 5 years at your own pace with evening courses, on-campus. Students who choose the marketing concentration must complete 12 hours of marketing electives. Students interested in the digital marketing career pathway must complete 3 courses in digital marketing and an immersive experience where they work with real organizations to help solve an actual business problem.

Emory University

Emory University, also in Atlanta, has a 2-year MBA program that offers general marketing as a concentration. The 2-year program breaks its coursework into foundational courses, professional development, and experiential learning. Students can participate in summer internships, global career treks, career conferences, and more. Within the marketing courses students also gain hands-on experience through 'lab' courses that allow students to work with real organizations on strategic marketing projects.

University of West Georgia

Carrollton's University of West Georgia offers an MBA in Digital Marketing. The on-campus program requires 30 credits and can be completed in 2 years. Students in the digital marketing major take courses in web design, marketing metrics, social media, and more. The program also requires a final capstone course that includes a comprehensive exam.

Common Entrance Requirements

Most MBA programs in Georgia that offer a concentration in marketing require students to have a bachelor's degree, but it does not necessarily need to be in a business-related area. Most of these programs require competitive GMAT or GRE test scores and/or may require students to meet a minimum GPA requirement. A few programs may also require or encourage applicants to have 2 or more years of professional work experience.
