Buffalo Schools Offering MBA Programs

Canisius College

Canisius College is located right in Buffalo, NY, and it offers an accelerated one-year MBA program as well as a flexible part-time option suitable for working students. The one-year program includes full time classes during the day for three semesters. Students can choose from concentration in general business, financial services, marketing, and international business.

The flexible MBA program has day, evening, and online classes, and the program can be completed in 18 months. Five different concentrations are available in this program: marketing, financial services, health information technology, global supply chain management, and international business.

D'Youville College

D'Youville is a private college located on the west side of Buffalo, close to downtown. The college offers an on-campus and an online MBA program. Both programs are targeted to working adults and can be completed in 17 months. The on-campus program consists of Saturday classroom sessions combined with online assignments. The curriculum for both the online and on-campus programs is the same.

Medaille College

Medaille College is situated 4.5 miles from downtown Buffalo. It offers three study options for taking the MBA program - evening/online classes, a day-time program and a hybrid program which is half online and half on campus. The on-campus classes are scheduled once week in the evening, whereas the online program has no scheduled class times. The day-time program, called 'Fast Forward' requires students to attend two full day classes per week for in a 15-week term. The Hybrid program consist of two courses (one on-campus, one online) per seven-week term. Two areas of concentration are available with these MBA programs - organizational leadership and project management.

University at Buffalo

MBA students at the University at Buffalo have the choice between a full-time program, an executive program or a professional program. The full-time program takes 24 months and classroom attendance is required. The executive program requires attendance at weekend classes and takes 17 months to complete. The part-time option, called the professional program, is a combination of in-class sessions in the evenings and Saturdays, and online classes. The program can be completed in 27 months or more.

Niagara University

Niagara University is located 22 miles north of Buffalo, and it offers an MBA program that can be taken on weekends or a combination of evenings and weekend sessions. Eight areas of concentration are offered for this MBA and the program can be completed in 12 months or longer. An online MBA in Strategic Management is also available.

MBA Admission Requirements at Buffalo Schools

Students planning on applying to an MBA program at a Buffalo, New York, school will need an undergraduate degree. Some schools may prefer a degree in a specific area, such as business, and require applicants to meet GPA requirements (such as a 3.0 or above).
