Overview of Georgia MBA Programs

University of Georgia

The University of Georgia offers a two-year, full-time MBA program which consists of 60 credits. Students will take required coursework in areas like financial accounting and applied business statistics. They can choose from 11 areas of concentration, including operations management and business analytics.

It is strongly recommended that prospective students have at least two years of relevant, full-time work experience prior to applying to the program. Below is a list of admissions requirements:

Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus

Students can enroll in a part-time, evening MBA program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Classes are held Monday - Thursday, with accelerated weekend classes also available. Students usually earn their degree in 24-36 months. Available courses include financial and managerial accounting and operations management.

Prospective students will need to submit an application and $75 fee. Supporting documents include transcripts, a resume, two recommendation letters, GRE or GMAT scores no older than five years, and two essays.

Kennesaw State University

Kennesaw State University has an evening MBA program with classes held Monday through Thursday. Students must complete eight required courses, along with four elective courses, for a total of 36 credits. Program coursework includes business finance and information systems in business. Students can earn their degree in as little as 18 months. The university also offers a distance learning program that can be completed in 20 months. Students will need a bachelor's degree and two years of full-time, relevant work experience. They will need to submit official transcripts and GMAT scores as well.

Emory University

Students can enroll in Emory University's two-year, full-time MBA program. They will take courses like data and decision analytics and marketing. Once students complete core courses, they can choose from over 90 elective courses during the second semester of the program. Students can also choose from a one-year, full-time program or a part-time option that meets two times per week. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, as well as two years of full-time work experience. The application process includes the following:

Georgia State University

Georgia State University offers a flex, evening MBA program that takes 2-5 years to complete. Students can choose from 15 concentrations. The university also offers an executive MBA program for candidates with six years of relevant work experience. The executive program offers classes on every other Saturday and one Friday per month and takes 17 months to complete. Prospective students will need to submit an online application. Those applying to the flex program must pay a $50 fee, while the fee for the executive program is $100.

Individuals interested in pursuing their MBA will find there are flexible scheduling options, with full or part-time enrollment. Students can choose programs that offer evening or weekend classes as well as distance learning.
