Northwest Missouri State University

Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville offers online MBA programs in general management, marketing or human resource management. Each of the programs totals 33 credits and can be completed in 12 to 18 months. The programs require 24 credits of core courses and 9 credits of electives and each program has multiple start dates. Core courses include subjects in economics, accounting, employment law, organizational behavior and decision analysis.

Missouri University of Science and Technology

Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla offers an MBA program that can be taken on-campus or online. Undergraduate students at the school can also pursue a 4+1 MBA that allows them to earn both their bachelor's and MBA in 5 years. The MBA program totals 36 credits and can be taken part-time online. Students take core courses in subjects such as team building and leadership, international marketing, project management and information systems management.

University of Missouri

The University of Missouri in Columbia has a traditional MBA and Executive MBA program available. The traditional MBA meets on-campus, totals 57 credits and can be completed in 4 semesters. Students in the program can choose from specializations in marketing, finance or management and gain hands-on experience through consulting projects and case competitions. The Executive MBA program can be completed in 21 months, offers most coursework online with some on-campus residencies, and includes an international residency that lasts 10 days.

Southeast Missouri State University

Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau offers a traditional MBA, online MBA and an accelerated MBA for undergraduate students who already have at least 75 semester hours. On-campus students can choose from 9 different concentration areas, including environmental management, industrial management, international business and entrepreneurship, while online students can pursue a concentration in management, health administration or sport management. Most of these concentrations require an applied project in the specific field, but some concentrations may have additional requirements, such as prerequisite coursework and/or seminars. All students must take a capstone course in strategic decision making and core courses in research methods, organizational behavior and more.

Missouri State University

Missouri State University in Springfield provides MBA programs in traditional, accelerated, online or evening formats. The traditional and evening MBA programs both require 33 credits and allow students to take courses on-campus or online. Students in the traditional program can also take courses on-campus during the day if they would like and participate in seminar courses that provide real-world experience. The accelerated program is designed for undergraduate students wishing to earn their MBA faster. All programs allow students to further focus their studies with graduate certificate programs.

Common Entrance Requirements

Admission for MBA programs in Missouri is usually competitive, but students will likely need to meet a specific admission index or have specific GPA, GMAT, or GRE test scores that vary based on the institution. Several institutions also require a certain number of years of work experience and at least a bachelor's degree. Many programs also have prerequisite course requirements that are usually fulfilled through an undergraduate program in business or a related field.
