University of Oregon
The University of Oregon in Eugene offers an MBA program in a full-time, accelerated and flex format, as well as a dual MBA/Master of Science in Finance (MSF). The full-time format takes 6 terms to complete (2 years), the accelerated format takes only 3 to 4 terms to complete and the flex program provides students with a 2- to 4-year course schedule. Students in the MBA program can choose from concentrations in sports business, advanced strategy and leadership, sustainable business practices, innovation and entrepreneurship and finance and securities analysis. The program provides students with a wide range of hands-on learning experiences, including guest speakers, internships, exchange programs, competitions and strategic planning projects.
Oregon State University
Oregon State University in Corvallis has an online, hybrid and on-campus MBA program. The hybrid program contains online courses and in-person sessions in Portland or Bend, while the on-campus MBA in Corvallis is available in full- and part-time formats. Students who choose the on-campus, full-time MBA program can finish the program in as little as 9 months. Students receive hands-on training through applied projects and can customize their degree with concentrations in areas like marketing, corporate finance, business analytics, supply chain and logistics management and human resource management.
Salem's Willamette University provides an Early Career and Career Change MBA and MBA for Professionals. The Early Career and Career Change MBA program can be completed in 21 months and provides students with a range of experiential learning opportunities, as well as internships. Students in this program can choose to pursue concentrations in areas such as organizational analysis, global management, management science and quantitative methods, public and not-for-profit management and more. The MBA for Professionals program offers evening classes twice a week in Portland or Salem and can be completed in 24 months.
Portland State University
Students at Portland State University in Portland can pursue an MBA in full- or part-time formats. The program requires 62 credits and can be completed in 21 months. Students in the program participate in hands-on learning through an immersion program and consulting project where they are able to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world managerial and leadership scenarios. Students may also choose to specialize their studies in finance or pursue various certificates in subjects like real estate, taxation, social innovation or global supply chain management.
University of Portland
The University of Portland in Portland offers a traditional MBA program and a MBA in Nonprofit Management. The traditional MBA program requires 39 semester hours, has evening courses and provides concentrations in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, strategy, operations and technology management or sustainability. All MBA students also have an opportunity for international experience as a required component of the program. The MBA in Nonprofit Management requires 36 semester hours, can be taken full- or part-time and can be completed in 2 years.
Common Entrance Requirements
Students applying to MBA programs in Oregon need to have at least a bachelor's degree and several programs require or prefer to see at least 3 years of professional work experience. Applicants typically need to take the GRE or GMAT and have their test scores sent to the institution to which they intend to apply.
