Air Traffic Controller

Air traffic controllers are responsible for monitoring air traffic in order to maintain the safety of the airplanes in the air at one time. They also usually communicate with pilots giving instructions for takeoff or landing, as well as updating the pilots on the possible flight conditions or possible delays. Due to the nature of the flight industry, where trips occur at all hours of the day and night, this job does require night shift workers. The typical air traffic controller has at least an associate's degree, has passed all examinations, and has completed training.

Physician

Physicians are doctors that are responsible for diagnosing ailments and constructing plans of treatment for patients. After looking over the medical past and various test results given to patients, they can prescribe medication that will best help treat or cure the patients' illness. Physicians may work overnight or be on call in the event of an emergency with any of their patients. Becoming a physician requires a doctoral degree in medicine within a preferred specialization field.

Tractor-trailer Truck Driver

Tractor-trailer truck drivers are responsible for driving with large amounts of merchandise cross-country. In addition to transporting the products, these drivers must run routine inspections of the trailer, meet company delivery deadlines, keep track of their work schedule, and upkeep their truck. This job, however, typically assigns long-haul trips, which are trips that span for a significant distance, therefore it will require both day and night time availability. Truck drivers must obtain their commercial driver's license, as well as have a high school diploma.

Police Officer

Police officers are protective service agents that are responsible for enforcing laws and providing relief in the event of a crime.
