Pennsylvania State University - World Campus

Pennsylvania State University's World Campus offers veterans and military students many resources to ensure success. Penn State offers in-state tuition without residency requirements for veterans and military students and has dedicated staff to help veterans with enrollment, benefits and other issues.

Penn State - World Campus offers over 150 online degrees and certificate programs. These are not just courses, but complete programs that can be taken from start to finish online. There are many topics, including accounting, agribusiness management, behavioral science, international politics, law and society, and more.

University of Florida - UF Online

The University of Florida's UF Online may be a relative bargain compared to many online education programs from highly ranked universities. The University of Florida welcomes veterans by providing college credit for applicable military training, offering a dedicated office to handle veterans' issues, as well as a student veterans organization and ROTC (although the last two may be less important to online students).

The online programs boast of a 'One Stop Team' to handle issues for the online school; they are available to help online students pay for their classes, register, and handle other administrative process that may come up. With one phone call or email, they can have it solved and there are even extended evening hours on the four most likely days, Monday through Thursday. UF Online offers degree programs in over a dozen majors including anthropology, biology, communication sciences, criminology, business administration, computer science, environmental management, geology, and microbiology.

North Carolina State University at Raleigh

North Carolina State University at Raleigh provides a large number of distance learning programs that may be helpful to veterans and military students. The school has a number of services that make it a good choice for military students, including providing college credit for military training, offering a dedicated staff for veterans issues, and a student veteran organization. The school also has a ROTC program.

North Carolina State University is a four-year institution that offers a range of degree levels. There are online programs for certificate programs for vocational and professional training, as well as associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Colorado State University -- Global Campus

Colorado State University (CSU) offers veterans and military students tuition assistance and special military rates. This amounts to a 10% discount and applies to most active duty military, veterans, spouses, and dependents. In addition CSU offers college credit for military training, as well as a dedicated point of contact for veterans.

This school offers all kinds of classes and programs online. CSU - Global has certificate programs for vocational and professional training. The distance learning school also has associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees.

Texas A & M University

The home of the Aggies provides support for veterans in both their online school and their regular campus. Online students will find that Texas A & M offers in-state tuition for military students and veterans, as well as college credits for relevant military training. The school has an active veteran student organization, as well as a veteran resource and support center.

The online school features many programs that can be taken completely online, including some graduate programs. Included in these are programs in agriculture, medicine, nursing, and law, among others.
