Common Entrance Requirements
Louisiana's online MBA programs often have regular or unconditional admittance, as well as conditional admittance status for students who may be good candidates, but fall slightly short of standard admission requirements. For regular admittance, students typically need to hold at least a bachelor's degree, meet program-specific GPA and/or GMAT test score criteria and/or have prior coursework in areas like economics, statistics, accounting and finance. Programs may also require students to have professional work experience and some programs may accept the GRE in place of the GMAT, although the GMAT is usually preferred. Online students must also be prepared to meet technical requirements if accepted in order to participate in online coursework. These requirements may include high-speed internet, a webcam, microphone and Microsoft Office.
Students in Louisiana can choose from online MBA programs that provide traditional education in business administration along with the opportunity to pursue one's personal interests through concentrations or electives. These programs can usually be completed rather quickly and typically do not require a culminating experience.
