Babson College

Babson offers a part-time MBA program that is available at either the Wellesley or Boston campus. The program can be completed in 21 months or longer in a self-paced program to suit the student. Classes are taught on-campus in the evening or in a combination of in-person and online sessions. The concentrations available are business analytics, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and global management

Boston University

Located in Boston center-city the university offers a choice of three formats for the part-time MBA program. In the cohort program the student takes the first year of studies as part of a small group. After that the student is free to go at their own pace. The second option is called flex track and offers a variable course schedule to fit the individual's needs. The third option is an accelerated program for those students who wish to complete their studies at a faster pace.

The study duration for all of the above options ranges from 2-6 years on average. At least seven concentrations are available: energy & environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, finance, leadership & organizational transformation, marketing, operations & technology management and strategy & innovation.

Clark University

Clark university is located in Worcester and offers a part-time and a professional track MBA program. Courses are available during the day, in the evenings and online. Students can choose from seven areas of concentration: accounting, accounting with CPA preparation, finance, information management & business analytics, management, marketing and social change & sustainability. Students who want to pursue the professional track should have at least three years of work experience in the field.

University of Massachusetts, Amherst

The main campus of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is located about 90 miles from Boston. This school's part-time MBA program can be taken online and/or in-person at satellite campuses in Boston, Shrewsbury, or Springfield. Students may combine on-campus and online courses in the same semester. Six areas of concentration are available: business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare administration, marketing and sport management.

Northeastern University

Northeastern is located in Boston and offers students a flexible part-time MBA program. Students can take just course at a time or more courses to fit their schedule. Classes are available on week-nights, weekends or online. There are ten areas of concentration: corporate finance, corporate renewal, entrepreneurship, healthcare management, international business, investments, marketing, mutual fund management, supply chain management, and technological entrepreneurship.

Admission Requirements

In addition to completion of an application, schools require official transcripts of an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. A current resume, letters of recommendation, and an essay or personal statement outlining the applicant's academic and professional goals are usually requested, as well. Select programs may require that applicants have a minimum number of years' experience working in a related field. Some schools ask for GMAT/GRE scores, although many do offer waivers for applicants who have suitable professional work experience.
