Personal image consultants help shape the impression people have of people. They determine if there are issues with how the public views their client. Their primary objective is to help their client create the desired impression through their appearance and conduct.

A personal image consultant who is preparing an individual to meet royalty, for example, may spend time teaching them royal protocols for interacting.
