Specific job duties for growth hackers will depend on their industry. Growth hackers are often responsible for overseeing all technical components of marketing campaigns. Other job responsibilities may include collaborating with marketing and product personnel on promotional strategies and influencer marketing, overseeing an organization's website and automation systems, and evaluating website traffic and other data to better understand customer engagement and conversion rates.

Growth hackers may utilize digital marketing strategies, such as PPC or SEO, to maintain and increase an organization's customer base. They may also create and optimize ways to enhance the customer experience through scaling hyper-growth platforms, such as business-to-business or business-to-business-to-consumer.
