Study.com Donates Mobile-Friendly Learning Curriculum to Schools Affected by School Closures

community impact

Just like you, I've been following the news as more and more schools are facing closures and teachers are being asked to continue education outside of the four walls of a classroom. We understand how overwhelming this can be and in response, we want to offer support for schools and districts in this time of need.

Since my co-founder Ben and I started this company, our mission has been to make education accessible - our vision was that students could learn on-demand from a smartphone - transforming the way education is taught and enabling teachers to mix and match their teaching strategies with our platform's personalized online learning.

With that goal in mind and to help provide relief during this time, Study.com is donating 100,000 licenses until the end of the school year to help K-12 schools and school districts continue to provide quality education with minimal interruption.

  • Through district and school administrators, teachers and students will be given license codes which will grant them access to over 4,500 online courses, 79,000 video-based lessons, and 12,000 lesson plans for all grade levels.
  • All lessons are mobile accessible, and students can learn on a computer, tablet, or phone.
  • Study.com's on-demand, mobile courses and lessons are created by expert teachers and make it easy for teachers to immediately continue their lesson planning.
  • Study.com already helps more than 30 million teachers and students each month and as an extension of our mission of making education accessible, we are dedicated to providing the curriculum, resources, and support for K-12 public schools during this time of need.

On top of the donation, Study.com is offering our online learning platform for a significant discount for all school- and district-wide deployments. We will continue to adapt as this situation rapidly evolves to support students, teachers and parents.

We acknowledge the support that so many others are doing as part of this global movement to provide relief to those in need and we're humbled to be in a place where we can make education more accessible.

If you are a teacher, parent or administrator, please help us reach school leaders with this donation by sharing the link https://study.com/coronavirus-relief. If your school has been impacted by temporary or long-term closures, please email school.closure@study.com so our team can assess your school's needs and get teachers and students set up with Study.com. We are ready to help.
