Business marketing degree and certificate programs are available at 2 and 4-year colleges and universities in North Carolina. Students can earn undergraduate or graduate degrees in this field. Aside from marketing programs, marketing classes or concentrations are also often available in business administration programs.

Some programs may be available online. Students may gain practical experience through internships, co-op experiences and simulations. PhD students will need to complete research and a dissertation.

Appalachian State University

At this university in Boone, students can earn a marketing minor or bachelor's degree. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program includes courses like sales management, integrated marketing communications, consumer behavior and marketing research. Students can choose to complete an internship. The minor program is only for non-business students, and they study marketing principles and price theory.

Central Piedmont Community College

Located in Charlotte, this school offers a certificate program in event marketing and promotion. The college also has an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration program with a concentration in marketing and retailing. Marketing courses include fundamentals of selling, international marketing, public relations and special events production. Full-time students can complete the certificate program in one semester and the associate's degree program in two years.

Duke University

This Durham school offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with a concentration in marketing and a PhD in Marketing program. Students in the MBA program can focus their studies on product management or market analysis and strategy. MBA students take courses in market intelligence and marketing strategy. The PhD program prepares students for work in research and academia. The doctoral program requires research, coursework and a dissertation.

East Carolina University

Located in Greenville, this school offers a BSBA program with a major in marketing and a graduate certificate in marketing. Required courses for the degree program cover marketing strategy, consumer behavior and marketing research. The graduate certificate program can be completed on campus or online. The certificate can only be earned by those who are in an MBA program. Certificate students may study global marketing and business-to-business marketing.

Fayetteville Technical Community College

At this Fayetteville school, students can earn a certificate in e-marketing. Students can also complete a five-semester associate's degree program in marketing. The degree program includes courses in marketing research, consumer behavior, social media marketing and customer service. Students may earn credit for completing a co-op program. The e-marketing certificate program has courses in e-commerce, retailing and advertising.

North Carolina State University at Raleigh

This university in Raleigh offers a full-time MBA program with a concentration in marketing management. Students may take marketing analytics or methods in marketing research. MBA students may choose electives like product design and development, consumer behavior and business relationship management. The university also offers a bachelor's degree program with a concentration in marketing. The program has courses in marketing strategy and international marketing.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

At this Chapel Hill university, students can earn an BSBA in marketing management, a MBA with a concentration in marketing or a PhD in marketing. Students in the undergraduate program must complete nine credit hours of marketing electives. The MBA program is offered in a full-time format and requires six concentration courses. University of North Carolina at Charlotte
