While marketing diploma programs aren't available at the Florida schools listed below, prospective marketing professionals can find many other types of marketing programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. These include entry-level certificate programs; associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees; and graduate certificates geared for professional development. In addition to straight marketing degrees, marketing may be offered as a concentration in another degree program, such as business administration.

Some programs may be available partially or fully online. In some cases, degree programs require students to have a previous degree before admittance. The 10 largest schools in the state offering marketing programs are discussed below.


Broward College

Located in Fort Lauderdale, Broward College opened as a member of the state college system in 1960. Students at this college can pursue a Technical Certificate in Marketing Operations that totals 24 credit hours or an associate's degree in marketing management that's 64 semester hours in length. Program coursework for both options covers salesmanship, advertising, retailing and marketing management.

Florida Atlantic University

The city of Boca Raton is home to Florida Atlantic University, a public university that opened in 1964. Through the College of Business, students can pursue an executive certificate in marketing management, a 30-credit hour program that covers topics such as strategic planning, consumer behavior, segmentation and market research. The Department of Marketing also offers marketing degree programs resulting in a bachelor's, master's or a doctoral degree.

Florida International University

Miami's Florida International University (FIU) offers a Certificate in Sales and Customer Relationship Management for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing program, which can be completed online. Both the certificate and degree programs include courses in personal selling and marketing management. A graduate certificate in sales and customer relationship management is available as well.

Other programs related to business marketing are the undergraduate and graduate certificates in export-import management, which explore various international marketing topics for businesses involved in global trade. FIU also has a Macy's retail management certificate program, which combines business courses with retail marketing content.

Florida State College at Jacksonville

This Jacksonville college began as a junior college in 1965. Students can pursue a Technical Certificate in Business Operations that consists of 18 credit hours. Course topics cover accounting economics, business law and microcomputer applications.

Florida State University

The main campus of the State University System of Florida is located in the capital city of Tallahassee. The School of Communication offers a Graduate Certificate in Multicultural Marketing Communication, which is 12 credit hours and includes courses such as innovation diffusion, Hispanic marketing, account planning and multicultural marketing. Applicants need to have earned a bachelor's degree from an approved college or university. Miami Dade College

The state's first integrated junior college, Miami Dade College opened in Miami as Dade County College in 1960 in response to the influx of Cuban immigrants. Students can earn a College Credit Certificate in Marketing Operations through a 34-credit hour program that includes coursework in selling, retailing, business writing, advertising, public relations and entrepreneurship. For students seeking an associate's degree in marketing management, Miami Dade College offers areas of concentration in international business, real estate marketing, entrepreneurship, non-profit management, international trade and marketing.

St. Petersburg College

In the city of Clearwater, St. Petersburg College opened as a junior college in 1927. After completing the 12 credit hours needed to earn a Certificate in Marketing, students can apply those credits toward the college's associate's degree in business administration program. The technical certificate program includes courses in advertising, sales and social media marketing. Marketing is also an area of emphasis within the associate's in business administration program at this college.

University of Central Florida

This Orlando-based university provides a marketing design certificate program for high school graduates who are interested in creating marketing literature using typography, color, digital imaging and software programs such as Photoshop. Students receive a basic introduction to marketing in order to grasp fundamental concepts and to understand the relationship between design and marketing. University of Florida

The executive education division at the University of Florida in Gainesville offers several certificate programs, including one in business essentials and marketing management. University of South Florida - Main Campus

Tampa is home to the main campus of the University of South Florida (USF), a public research university that was founded in 1956.
