Continuing Education Information

Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) both offer certification programs for cardiovascular technologists. A technician, who generally works with electrocardiograms and stress testing, may pursue the additional training necessary to become a cardiovascular technologist. Technologists may specialize in a wide range of areas within the field, such as vascular technology or invasive cardiology.

Certificate Programs

Some schools may offer certificate programs for cardiovascular technicians. These programs generally take one year to complete and qualify students to work with tools like the Holter monitor and pacemakers.
