The recommended score for the College Composition CLEP is 50. This recommendation comes from the American Council of Education (ACE) for granting credit toward college semester hours.

Can I retake the CLEP College Composition?

Yes, the CLEP Composition can be retaken at the next testing date, but the essay portion is only graded twice a month. The original fee for the test must be paid again and scores for multiple choice are immediately available online after the test is concluded.
