Stanford University is a private research university that U.S. News & World Report ranked fifith among national universities in 2016. Also in 2016, Stanford was tied for first with MIT as the best graduate program in computer science in the nation, as noted by U.S. News & World Report.

Through the School of Engineering, students can earn a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or Ph.D. in computer science. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

School Highlight: The computer labs in the Siebel Center are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to students.

According to U.S. News & World Report in 2016, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign had the fifth-best graduate program in computer science in the country. Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA

Carnegie Mellon University's graduate computer science program is tied for first in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report in 2016.
