Graphic Design Certificate

Muskingum University's Continuing Education Programs

Located in New Concord, about 70 miles east of Columbus, Muskingum University is a private, nonprofit liberal arts institution that also offers education opportunities tailored to adults. The Muskingum Adult Program features evening and weekend courses that allow students to complete bachelor's degree programs while attending to duties at home and work. Those entering the program typically have associate degrees.

Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Instruction in both private and public accounting is available through this program. Students take courses in diverse accounting areas, including finance, taxation, auditing, microeconomics and macroeconomics.

Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies

Students earning this degree may gain employment in organizations servicing families in the community. Individuals in the program gain insight into children's development and learning as well as cultural and social factors affecting the welfare of youth and their families. Students should emerge from the program as able advocates for families.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

Individuals who earn this degree learn about the sociological, psychological, and political components of law enforcement. Course topics include criminal justice theory, corrections, methods of research or political science, and courts. Students may also take elective courses in criminology, youth psychology, and public administration.

Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education

This degree program prepares students to teach young children in private or public school settings. Course offerings include studies in child development, education pedagogy and academic subjects appropriate for early childhood. Practicum prepares students through training in a real classroom.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Columbus State Community College's Continuing Education Programs

Located in Columbus, OH, Columbus State Community College serves Central Ohio residents with a variety of certificate and associate's degree programs. The school offers more than 200 career programs, as well as online learning for students.

Real Estate

Offered as a certificate or associate's degree program, students study topics in real estate law, finance, appraisal and more. The certificate program consists of 4 courses that qualify students to take Ohio's Real Estate exam. Classes are available at various times of the day, including evenings and weekends.

Digital Photography

This program covers topics in digital image management, digital design and digital workflow, as well as giving students the necessary skills with digital photography equipment and software. Graduates can easily move on to a 4-year degree program or start their own business in the field.

Massage Therapy

This program is also offered as a certificate or associate's degree program. Graduates of the program are eligible for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) for massage therapy given by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). Students in the program learn various tissue manipulation techniques, how to educate patients on injury prevention, maintain business records and more.
