Avenue Five Institute
Avenue Five Institute is a private, for-profit school. Classrooms are designed like an upscale salon so students can gain real-world experience.
The 11-month cosmetology program provides students with hands-on training in cosmetology, including cutting, styling, bleaching and tinting hair. Students learn to make decisions about the cut or style that will best suit their clients. They also study current trends and techniques and develop communication skills.
Baldwin Beauty School - South Austin
Baldwin Beauty School has locations in North and South Austin and has ties to salons, beauty businesses and spas in Austin. Students often can gain experience through the full-service student salons and the fully-equipped education facilities.
The 1500-hour cosmetology program includes 12 weeks of intensive work in the classroom and 10 and a half months of hands-on experience working in the full-service salon. Paul Mitchell the School - Austin
