Certificate of Achievement in Culinary Arts
The certificate program requires students to complete 24.5 credit hours of coursework in nutrition, sanitation, food safety, baking and related topics. Students also complete a series of foodservice production courses and labs where they learn how to prepare salads, stocks, meats and hors d'oeuvres. A course in purchasing and personnel management techniques is included as well. Before students complete this program, they must earn a food service sanitation certificate.
