What is the Digital Photography Institute?
The Digital Photography Institute (DPI) is located in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. DPI offers a collection of programs in the photography field based on the methodology of the executive director Mark Sincevich. Its mission is to educate consumers and those interested in photography on becoming better photographers, as well as to help them make and save money in this realm. The programs are offered through seminars and speaking engagements hosted by Sincevich and also through books, e-books and audio CDs.
Mark Sincevich and Programs
Mark Sincevich, on behalf of the DPI, is as well-known for his stories as for his photography. On a regular basis, Sincevich enjoys speaking to people and organizations about the benefits of photography, workflow and photography related topics, and digital photography. The Digital Photography Institute covers multiple topics in photography, such as purchasing the best digital cameras, incorporating digital photography and work, secrets of professional photography, taking digital photos and selecting a camera lens.
The DPI offers photography-related speaking events, an example of which focuses on generating new ideas in professional photography. In addition, the Digital Photography Institute provides audio CD programs and transcripts, as well as e-books and paperback books. The audio CDs are generally recordings of Sincevich's seminars or lectures, while the books are filled with more general how-to knowledge, as well as collections of photographs on different topics, such as doors and windows, travel, landscapes, fine art, objects and Martha's Vineyard.
The DPI is also behind Snap: the ultimate guide to digital photography for the consumer, which contains the whole philosophy of the DPI within its pages. Not only is Snap a book about making the best photography decisions, but it also includes free updates for the first year since the digital age evolves at such a quick pace.
