Philosophy

Becoming a philosophy teacher is one of many options for graduates with a degree in philosophy. Investigating the profound and elusive mysteries of life and logic also provides the critical thinking and reasoning needed for a variety of other professions.

Inside Philosophy

Philosophy dives into the mystery of being and the intangible questions around us. What is truth? What is the nature of reality? Why do we place values on our morals? A philosopher uses reflection, logic and critical thinking to attempt answers to these types of questions. Philosophy courses review the history of philosophy and the discourse of great philosophers. Additionally, studies in the field explore argumentation; theories of knowledge and reality; and ethics and existentialism.
