Read on for more information about entering this field.
Inside Dental Laboratory Technology
Dental laboratory techs work in laboratories and fill prescriptions for dental appliances, such as dentures, bridges, crowns and orthodontia. They use materials such as ceramics and metals to fabricate these items. There are five areas of specialization for dental lab technicians, including crowns and bridges, complete or partial dentures, ceramics and orthodontic appliances.
