About American Public University System

American Public University System (APUS) offers more than 200 online degree and certificate programs through American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU). Some of the most popular programs include business administration, criminal justice, intelligence studies, management, general studies, homeland security, psychology, transportation and logistics, and many more.

More than 75,000 alumni worldwide have benefited from APUS's relevant curriculum, affordability, and flexibility in pursuing and earning degrees at the associate, bachelor's, and master's levels. The student body is comprised of ambitious adult learners sharing a common motivation for continuing their education to help reach their career goals.

The university system is the top education provider to the U.S. military with more than 75% of the student body as active duty, spouse, reserve, or veteran. Both AMU and APU will enroll military and civilian students, and your previous academic courses or military and civilian training programs may be evaluated for potential transfer credit.

APUS is a five-time recipient of the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Effective Practice Award and has ranked among the best online bachelor's programs according to U.S. News & World Report since 2013. APUS is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and accepts many forms of financial aid including federal student aid (FSA), military tuition assistance, and veteran's educational benefits.
