About Branford Hall Career Institute
Branford Hall Career Institute is a network of schools offering 11 vocational certificate programs across 8 campuses in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Its main campus is located in the large suburban area of Branford, CT. The Branford branch was founded in 1965 and offers programs in business, computer technology, and health-related fields. Recently, the campus expanded to build a Learning Site across the street that includes classrooms, a state-of-the-art fitness lab, and a massage therapy clinic open to the public and staffed by students. Branford Hall offers both full-time day and part-time evening class options for students; each class is 50 minutes long. In addition, many of the programs encourage internships or externships.
Six program concentrations are offered at the Branford branch of Branford Hall Career Institute, including computer networking management, medical assistance, medical billing and coding, paralegal training, massage therapy, and professional fitness training. The computer networking management school is a certified Microsoft IT Academy Program that teaches students of all starting abilities about installation, preventative maintenance, networking, network administration, network security, and computer system troubleshooting. Students wishing to study professional medical assistance learn to balance skills in office and clinical settings. The medical billing and coding/health claims specialist program prepares students for the vital practice of processing insurance claims. In doing this, the program trains desiring students to take the Certified Professional Coder exam given by the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Branford Hall gives its paralegal students a strong foundation in legal concepts to allow them to understand as well as conduct legal research, analysis, and writing. This program features online as well as on-campus courses. Massage therapy students will learn techniques such as acupressure and reflexology, as well as how to work with different types of patients, including pregnant women, athletes, and the elderly. Those who want to be professional fitness trainers will work in Branford Hall's fitness center for hands-on experience as well as classroom-based concepts. The program also presents the opportunity to prepare for the Certified Personal Trainer certification test from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
Branford Hall has an open admissions policy in its commitment to career training. Applications require an on-campus interview, an online application, and a $75 application fee. Any other requirements are program-specific, and interested applicants should be sure to check with the website or an admissions counselor.
