About George Fox University
Located in Newberg, OR, just a few miles south of Portland, George Fox University is a private Christian university that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The school was established in 1885 and is the oldest Christian university in Oregon. Today, George Fox University enrolls around 4,100 students and operates under the mission of preparing students spiritually, academically, and professionally to think with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with passion.
Undergraduate students at George Fox can choose from more than 50 different majors. Some of the most popular programs include business, engineering, nursing, education, and biology. The school also offers 15 graduate programs, such as Master of Business Administration, Master of Social Work, Doctor of Psychology, and Doctor of Physical Therapy programs. Their Portland seminary campus also offers eight graduate programs in ministry, divinity, and spiritual direction.
Adult degree-completion programs are offered at George Fox's Portland Center and Salem sites as well as online. These accelerated programs are designed for adult learners who want to return to school and finish their degree. Program options include a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Arts in Health Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership, Bachelor of Science in Project Management, RN to BSN Program, and Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Studies. Applicants to these programs can transfer previous college credits as well as receive credit for life experiences.
