About Miller-Motte College

Founded in 1916 in Wilmington, North Carolina, Miller-Motte College now has three other NC campuses in Raleigh, Jacksonville, and Fayetteville, with the school's online programs offered through its Wilmington campus. Students can pursue studies in areas of legal services, business administration, and technology as well as barbering, massage therapy, nail technology, esthetics, and cosmetology. The school also has a few allied health programs, such as those in dental assisting, medical assistant, nursing assistant, allied health management, and veterinary technology. Students can even prepare for careers as tractor-trailer drivers or in the field of mechatronics.

Hybrid programs, such as the Medical Clinical Assistant, Business Administration, and IT Support Specialist, allow students to complete some coursework online through audio or video training, text-based lessons, or even interactive discussion groups. In addition to coursework, hands-on projects, on-site facilities such as a barbershop and spa, and externships and practical experiences in actual professional settings help provide a thorough educational experience. Some programs, such as the Medical Clinical Assistant program, even prepare students for national certification exams.

Miller-Motte College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and program-specific accreditations include the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for medical assisting, the Commission on Dental Accreditation for the dental assisting program, and Initial Accreditation status for the veterinary technology program from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
