About Miller-Motte Technical College

Since its 1916 founding in Wilmington, North Carolina, Miller-Motte Technical College has grown to span six campuses in three states. and has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) since January 2018. The medical assisting and surgical technology programs in Charleston and Conway, South Carolina, and Chattanooga, Tennessee, are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

With programs that focus on topics ranging from basic business functions to surgical assistance procedures, Miller-Motte Technical College is committed to helping students develop the necessary knowledge and skills to start a successful and satisfying career in environments like businesses, hospitals, spas, legal offices, or technical companies. Some programs contain externships so students can apply what they have learned in a professional environment, while the CDL tractor trailer training program provides more than 150 hours of hands-on training driving a full-size tractor trailer. In some cases, studies can help prepare students for required certification exams, such as those in surgical technology, medical billing and coding, and IT support specialist. Some programs even offer hybrid studies, sometimes referred to as CampusFlex.

Accreditation Statement

Platt College located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Platt College branch campuses have been approved by the State of Oklahoma to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of post-secondary distance education.
