About Queens University of Charlotte
Established in 1857, Queens University of Charlotte is a private, not-for-profit university that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs designed to prepare students for a fulfilling and meaningful life. The university is ranked the #20 regional university in the south, the #30 best value school in the south, and #17 among best colleges for veterans in 2018 by U.S. News and World Report. Queens is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Queens University of Charlotte also offers five of its high-quality graduate programs online. Students can enroll in an online Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Master of Science in Nursing, or Master of Arts in Communication program. The Master of Science in Nursing program includes three specialization options: Clinical Nurse Leader, Nurse Educator, or Nurse Administrator. Most programs are completed entirely online, though the MBA does require an on-campus residency, and the MSN and MA in Educational Leadership programs require a clinical or field internship that can be completed in the students' local area.
Online students access their courses through the university's MyCourses learning management system. Here, they can access their coursework, view lectures, complete assignments, and take tests from anywhere with an Internet connection. Students communicate with their classmates and professors though social media, shared blogs, instant messaging, Skype, and other online community tools. Online students also have access to a variety of support services to facilitate their success, including a dedicated student advisor, tech support, career services, and access to the online library resources.
