About The University of Central Arkansas
The University of Central Arkansas is located in Conway, AR, about 30 miles north of Little Rock, AR. It's a public university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2011, U.S. News and World Report ranked it number 54 of the best regional universities in the South and number 23 of the top public schools in the South. UCA is also home to the Torreyson Library, which holds U.S. government documents that are accessible to the public.
The university operates 6 degree-granting colleges: College of Business, College of Education, College of Fine Arts and Communication, College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, College of Liberal Arts and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Tuition and Financial Aid
Undergraduate tuition for the 2011-2012 school year for in-state students was $7,183 and $12,569 for out-of-state students per year. Graduate tuition during that same period for in-state students was $3,983 and for out-of-state students $7,965. The school accepts loans and grants and also offers scholarships. Some of these scholarships are merit-based. Work study programs are available. Graduate students can participate in research assistantships to help defray the cost of their tuition.
