Students complete either a design project or applied research that's covered in either a thesis or project report. A specialization in design and dynamic systems, thermal and fluid systems or manufacturing must be chosen, and students can tailor the program to meet their needs through electives. This 30-unit degree can be earned on a full-time or part-time basis. Admission requirements include at least a 3.0 GPA in upper division engineering courses while earning a Bachelor of Science in either mechanical engineering or computer engineering.
