This is a 30-unit program that allows students to choose an individual study and comprehensive exam, thesis or project format.
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
This program was designed to accommodate working professionals, and courses are offered during evening hours. Students complete either a design project or applied research that's covered in either a thesis or project report. A specialization in design and dynamic systems, thermal and fluid systems or manufacturing must be chosen, and students can tailor the program to meet their needs through electives. This 30-unit degree can be earned on a full-time or part-time basis. Admission requirements include at least a 3.0 GPA in upper division engineering courses while earning a Bachelor of Science in either mechanical engineering or computer engineering.
