This 60-hour program provides instruction in fashion merchandising and computer-aided design. Classes focus on subjects such as communication, small business fundamentals and textiles. The curriculum includes a practicum.
Potomac State College of West Virginia University
This college is located in Keyser and enrolls approximately 1,800 students. It offers an Associate of Arts in Fashion Merchandising program that requires 62 credit hours of study. Classes in this program include accounting, computer applications, an introduction to the fashion business and marketing.
West Virginia University
West Virginia University is located in Morgantown and enrolls almost 30,000 students. The university offers a Bachelor of Science in Fashion, Dress and Merchandising, and students can choose a focus in either fashion design or fashion merchandising. Classes cover topics like dress through history, apparel production, textiles, product development and visual merchandising. A merchandising internship and a study abroad opportunity are also available.
