Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Management

Chattanooga State's health information management program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). It's designed to prepare graduates to sit for the national certification exam offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and earn the RHIT credential. The curriculum includes essential courses in medical terminology, coding and classification systems, management and supervision, health information computer applications, and advanced coding.
