Bachelor of Science in Nutrition
All nutrition students at the University of Texas at Austin take the same core courses in biology, chemistry and mathematics. However, students choose from four primary concentrations, each with its own additional requirements.
Students who choose a dietetics emphasis must complete additional coursework in accounting, clinical nutrition and food systems management, as well as clinical hours or an internship. Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Foods
Three tracks are available to nutrition students at Texas State - San Marcos. The basic course of study is geared toward students not seeking careers that require the registered dietitian credential. The core curriculum includes courses in food science, food production management, nutritional assessment and wellness. Students who choose this option are welcome to focus their efforts by choosing any minor field of study. Students can also choose from three targeted curriculum variations.
