Coursework includes general education courses in addition to classes directly related to hospitality management and online classes are offered by at least one of the schools.

Southern Utah University

Southern Utah University in Cedar City offers a degree in hotel, resort and hospitality management. The program can be a Bachelor of Arts, which requires a foreign language, or a Bachelor of Science, which calls for more math and science courses. The 120-credit-hour program requires courses in accounting, macroeconomics, hospitality management and nutrition. Students take core courses in tourism management, quantity food production, leadership and guest service, as well as completing a hospitality work requirement. Tracks in food and beverage management or lodging and convention management are offered and call for nine credits of courses in those areas, including the option to study abroad. The hotel, resort and hospitality management minor program calls for 18 credit hours of hospitality courses.

University of Utah
