Bunker Hill Community College
Bunker Hill Community College is one of the most diverse schools in the area with its enrollment of international students, minorities and women, as well as its cultural programs. Students can choose from over 110 certificate and degree options. The hotel and restaurant management certificate program prepares graduates for entry into the job market or transfer to 4-year programs.
Hotel and Restaurant Management Certificate
Students in this certificate program receive training in the business aspects of hotel and restaurant management, along with basic cooking skills and kitchen operation principles. They also hone administrative skills with training in cost control and bookkeeping. The 27-credit program includes coursework in front office management, food and beverage operations, culinary theory and lodging operations.
Massachusetts Bay Community College
Massachusetts Bay Community College was founded in 1961 and has since served local students, as well as national and international students. Among the many career training and transfer programs is a certificate program in general business with a concentration in hospitality management.
General Business Certificate with a Concentration in Hospitality Management
Students in this program acquire the business, marketing and management skills necessary to enter the hotel and restaurant management field or advance their existing skills and knowledge. The program is offered by the Division of Social Sciences and Professional Studies and requires the completion of 26 credits. Coursework includes computer applications for business, food and beverage management, hospitality, tourism and front office management. The program also offers internship opportunities with local businesses.
Middlesex Community College
Middlesex Community College's Lowell Campus, established in 1987, is located approximately 30 miles from Brookline. The college offers more than 75 certificate and degree programs in business, engineering and technology, social sciences and human services, health and humanities, among others. Hospitality Management Certificate
