Individuals seeking income tax courses have several options through undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs. The business school offers undergraduate and graduate international seminars to places like India, China and Greece.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting
This accounting program includes basic and advanced federal taxation classes, as well as classes that cover accounting information systems, international business accounting and fraud examination. Additional classes include cost accounting, auditing, assurance services and not-for-profit accounting. The school also offers a '4+1' program that allows undergraduate accounting students with high GPAs to apply to one of Suffolk's graduate programs without taking graduate entrance examinations.
Graduate Certificate in Taxation
This program includes a maximum of five courses. Income tax-related classes include tax procedures and practices, state and location taxation, gifts and trusts, taxation of estates and tax policy.
Master of Science in Taxation
This program is available on a part-time and full-time basis, and some classes are available online. Classes in the program that are related to income taxation include financial accounting, tax research, estate planning techniques, federal income tax for estates, corporate taxation and tax procedures. Licensed Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) can enroll in the accelerated MST program, which reduces the number of required classes.
