The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale
Along with industrial design, The Art Institute offers programs in graphic design, illustration and interior design. The B.S. in Industrial Design focuses on providing professional skills appropriate for a variety of entry-level design positions.
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design
This program focuses on the design process rather than design style. Its curriculum includes classes in computer-aided drafting and modeling, industrial rendering, exhibit design, model making, human factors in design and structural design. Students in the program must complete a research project and defend that project prior to graduation. A portfolio and an internship are also part of the program.
