Chaminade University of Honolulu

Associate of Arts in Interior Design
This 62-credit-hour program is for students who want to learn the basics of interior design. First-year courses cover design theories, blueprint reading and mechanical drafting, while second-year courses explore topics like textiles, interior materials and the use of color. An 85-hour internship in the final semester allows students to gain industry experience. Graduates can apply their credits to the university's BFA program.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design
Chaminade's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design program can develop students' creative problem solving skills and familiarity with sustainable design techniques. After completing introductory courses and passing a comprehensive exam, students can enroll in coursework for the major.
