Robert Fiance Beauty School
With a main campus in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and two satellite campuses in West New York and Plainfield, the Robert Fiance Beauty School brings 40 years of experience to the profession of cosmetology education. Makeup application is an integral part of the program in skin care as well as the program in cosmetology. Both programs prepare students to sit for the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology's skin care specialist licensing examinations.
A 150-hour makeup application class is presented as part of the school's 600-hour skin care diploma program. Concepts covered in the class include color theory, color selection, color analysis, products used in makeup, basic makeup applications, facial shapes, corrective makeup applications, theatrical makeup and artificial eyelash application.
Throughout the class, prospective makeup artists gain practical experience by working with real clients and using modern equipment, products and techniques. Among the topics explored are fantasy makeup, body painting, special makeup effects, cosmetic chemistry and prosthetic applications.
Cosmetology and Hairstyling Diploma
A 78-hour class in facials, skin care and makeup is one portion of the comprehensive 1200-hour diploma program in cosmetology and hairstyling offered by the Robert Fiance Beauty School. In addition to the study of makeup application techniques, throughout the class students examine skin disorders, skin layers, types of skin, facial creams and manipulations, hair removal and eyebrow shaping.
The Lab-Paul Mitchell

In addition to makeup application, training includes design, hair cutting and coloring, multicultural applications and fashion trends. Students also receive instruction in state laws, administration, business ethics, retail skills and record keeping.
