Clemson University

The College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in marketing. The bachelor's degree program gives students a solid footing in marketing basics, while the master's degree program delves into analytical marketing.

Bachelor of Science in Marketing

Clemson marketing students can take courses in statistics, selling, market research and corporate finance. They can choose from areas in marketing management, international marketing, marketing research and entrepreneurship among others. Each semester will require 15-16 credits of coursework. Students must apply separately to the marketing program after they've completed their freshman core curriculum, and 121 semester hours are required for graduation.

Master of Science in Marketing

This 1-year, 30-credit program explores the technical side of marketing with courses in research methods and marketing analysis. Students focus on the development of quantitative and analytic skills as they complete classes and seminars, along with a major research paper. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in business from an accredited program or take additional courses determined by the university. Some professional work experience is also preferred. Most of the marketing classes are taught at the Falls campus in Greenville, but some are available at the main campus.

Greenville Technical College

Greenville Technical College's associate degree program in marketing gives students the fundamentals required to continue their education at a 4-year school or start a sales and marketing job right after graduation. The program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

Associate of Applied Science in Marketing

The program requires five semesters of full-time study, and online classes are available. Courses include English composition, accounting, public speaking, customer service, promotions and marketing research. Students also have many elective options to tailor the program to meet their needs. Elective courses can include foreign languages, photography and art history, as well as business courses in supervisory skills and business ethics.

North Greenville University

North Greenville University's marketing program can prepare graduates for sales or management positions. Students can gain experience and network with business professionals and other students through the Student Marketing Association.

Bachelor of Science in Marketing

This program can be completed in four years. General education requirements include courses in psychology, English, math and history. Mandatory business courses cover business law, human resource management, writing for business and information technology. Marketing majors complete 33-42 credit hours of marketing courses on topics like consumer behavior, sales management, sport marketing and advertising. Students also must earn one credit hour per semester for chapel attendance and cultural events.
