St. Louis Community College

Certificate of Proficiency in Medical Billing and Coding
Through this 48-credit hour program, students prepare for entry-level medical coding and billing specialist positions. Core courses include studies in medical terminology, human body systems, healthcare delivery systems and disease principles. Other billing and coding courses explore standard coding procedures and methods for health insurance billing. This training can prepare students to become Certified Coding Associates or Certified Coding Specialists or earn other credentials in medical coding and billing.
