College of DuPage
College of DuPage opened its doors in 1967. Its cosmetology programs are offered in two locations - Addison, IL (in association with the Technology Center of DuPage), and the Naperville Regional Center in Naperville, IL.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cosmetology
In this cosmetology degree program, students learn about nail technology. The nail technology and aesthetics introduction course covers pedicuring and manicuring. In the advanced course, students apply their skills in pedicuring and manicuring to paying clients in the school's salons.
Students who enroll in the certificate program follow the same cosmetology curriculum as students enrolled in the associate's degree program minus the general education courses. They also take 2 courses in nail technology and aesthetics, an introductory course and an advanced course.
City Colleges of Chicago - Harry S Truman College
Harry S Truman College is among City Colleges of Chicago's largest colleges. Truman College started in 1956 and moved to its present location in 1976.
Advanced Certificate in Cosmetology
In this program, the cosmetic art/cosmetology course provides students with instruction in how to perform pedicures and manicures. Students are required to complete 2 courses in salon technology. Students put their manicuring and pedicuring skills to use in the salon, working on actual customers.
