Marylhurst University

This private, not-for-profit school located in Marylhurst was founded in 1893 by the Sisters of the Holy Names. It is Oregon's oldest Catholic university and offers both bachelor's and master's programs in real estate. The master's program has three different concentrations - marketing, finance and management - and can be completed in 18 months through the college's accelerated online program.

Portland Community College

Portland's sprawling community college system has over 30,000 attendees spread out over its three campuses and offers less-than-1-year certificates in real estate brokering. This 16 credit hour program educates students on the basics of real estate law, brokerage, contracts and management. The school also offers a shorter, 12 credit hour program in property managing, which consists of courses in real estate investment and property management. Both programs prepare students to take the Oregon Real Estate Agency's licensing exams.

Portland State University

Also found in Portland, Portland State University has a student population over 26,000. The school offers master's degrees and graduate certificate in real estate. The college offers a Master of Real Estate Development, which is a 68 credit hour program that includes coursework in sustainable cities and regions, housing economics and downtown revitalization. Students undertaking the School of Business Administration's MBA program may complete additional courses in order to earn a real estate certificate credential.
