"Applying to was as easy as 1-2-3, and as a student I was looking for several scholarships to help me pay for my education this 2012-2013 school year. Being a graduate student, I already have loans in my name, and was an efficient way to search for any scholarships that I was qualified for. I found through Fastweb Scholarships, and was pleased to see that I could apply through Facebook. Most students like myself, enjoy the quick application process on the website and Facebook page, mainly because we do not have time to write extensive essays; we need to save that energy for our courses, in order to make those grades that are more important to us than what kind of car we drive.

Going to the University of Kansas this summer has been more that a great accomplishment and my entire family is thrilled that I will be attending. I have plans to continue my education career in the Speech, Language, and Hearing program. This two year program will help me find a great career as a speech pathologist working in either the public school system, in a hospital, or give me the ability to start my own practice. Working towards my masters motivates me to finish my courses as quickly as possible so I can begin my career during this time when recently graduated students have more difficulties finding new careers. Winning scholarships such as the scholarship will help me with my education by allowing me to purchase books, and pay for tuition. Paying out of state tuition will be more difficult during my first year, but the program I will be working in is one of the best in the nation.

Thanks for the opportunity to apply and win the scholarship. This scholarship is very much appreciated and will go to my educational career!"
