Program Description:

Once they have enrolled in Kaplan University's online Master of Science in Nursing - DNP Path program, students will have the opportunity to study advanced nursing practices, roles, and systems in the core curriculum while also choosing a specialization areas such as executive leader, family nurse practitioner, or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. The curriculum is presented through instruction, hands-on projects, and clinical studies. Course topics could include health care regulations, health assessment methods, health management strategies, diagnostic procedures, intervention methods, drug dosage, health care data management, and health care technology. Clinical courses offer more extensive studies in diagnostic processes, health maintenance and promotion, emergency health care, and community health. The adult-gerontology nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner specializations provide students with the opportunity to fulfill nursing roles as they interact with professionals and patients in a clinical setting.
