Program Description:

Penn Foster Career School's Optician Career Diploma Program gives enrolled students the opportunity to learn how to fit eye patients with spectacles and contact lenses. Students receive training in ophthalmic (eyeglass) and contact lense dispensing, optical anatomy and terminology, mathematics for opticianry, and industry-specific business skills. A 120-hour, six-month clinical practicum is a requirement for graduation.
