Program Description:

Penn Foster Career School's Physical Therapy Aide Career Diploma Program gives enrolled students the opportunity to learn the basics of physical therapy. The course is made up of five instruction sets, and begins with defining the role of a physical or occupational therapy aide's role in the treatment process. The curriculum covers common disorders and their treatments, as well as mobility training, basic CPR, and first aid. The work experience option provides students with the opportunity to complete a 200-hour internship for extended hands-on experience.

Penn Foster supplies all of the materials students need to complete the program, including books, lessons, and learning aids. Two videos, a set of flashcards, and a CD are included in course materials. After completing all program requirements, students are also given a Quick Reference to Physical Therapy.
